1U open frame 120W ac/dc power supply

Murata Power Solutions has announced the MVAB120 series of open frame single output 120W power supplies designed for telecom and industrial applications.

The units have up to 91% efficiency and can deliver up to 75W using convection cooling only. Just 250 LFM forced airflow is required for the supply to operate at the 120W full load output. Three models cover 12, 24 and 48V dc outputs and the full universal range of inputs is accommodated.

The MVAB120 meets the EU PFC directive for active power factor correction and complies with IEC/EN 61000 Class A and EN55022 Class B standards for emissions and immunity. Safety approvals include the internationally recognised UL/EN/IEC 60950-1:2005 2nd edition standard for IT and commercial equipment.

The series can deliver full load from -10 to 50°C and is capable of start-up from temperatures as low as -20°C.

Output protection features include overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature.
