Training: Attached and Integrated Electronics for Solar Modules

Solar power is one of the fastest growing opportunities for embedded analogue, power, and computing electronics. As the use of this renewable energy source becomes more distributed, there are fewer and fewer ideal roof tops or other open spaces for installation. In this case, the performance of each module may vary simply do to variable irradiance even though the actual modules performance may be well matched. In this presentation will present the problems that are part of the wider adoption of solar and propose different solutions that optimize the captured energy. Such applications as monitors, optimisers, and micro-inverters are areas that will be covered.
