RF5540 4.9 to 5.85GHz switch and LNA front end solution

RFMD's new RF5540 is designed specifically for high performance WiFi applications in the 5GHz ISM band.

The module integrates the LNA with bypass mode and an SPDT switch in a front end solution. According to RFMD, the integrated 50O input and output match is designed to minimise the number of external components required – optimising the size and cost of the solution. It is packaged in a 2 x 2 x 0.5mm, 12pin QFN.

Features include: a single supply voltage of 2.7 to 4.8V; and integrated 5GHz LNA with Bypass and SPDT.

Applications include: IEEE802.11a WiFi applications; IEEE802.11p wave automotive mesh; consumer electronics; mobile devices; gaming; and general purpose switch and LNA solution for 4.9 to 5.85GHz frequency range.
