Female power contacts for 2mm pitch connectors

Looking to increase power delivery levels, Harwin has launched a female contact for its Datamate connectors. Using a proprietary six finger design machined from a single piece of beryllium copper, the T-Contact is said to raise the current capacity on 2mm pitch interconnection systems to 8.5A per contact.

Fast 60V protected high side N-channel MOSFET driver

Analog Devices, which recently acquired Linear Technology, has launched the LTC7003, a high speed, high side N-channel MOSFET driver that operates up to a 60V supply voltage. Its internal charge pump fully enhances an external N-channel MOSFET switch, enabling it to remain on indefinitely.

Time-of-Flight 3D vision solution

A time-of-flight (ToF) chipset and development kit from Melexis is said to enable simple, modular and future proof design of 3D vision solutions. Previously available only as part of a development system, the chipset is now available to designers everywhere.

Libero SoC v11.8 software provides debugging capabilities

The latest version of Microsemi’s Libero SoC software – version 11.8, a comprehensive suite of FPGA design tools – has been released. In addition to the software release, which includes enhancements such as mixed language simulation, debugging capabilities and a new netlist viewer, the company is also introducing a free evaluation license enabling users to evaluate the company’s flash-based FPGAs and SoC FPGAs.

TE expands DEUTSCH 369 product line

TE Connectivity (TE) is expanding its DEUTSCH 369 series connector range to include two new versions, enabling integration directly to the printed circuit board. Applications include commercial aircraft interiors, helicopter and rail lighting.

No-Opto flyback regulator operates at 150°C

The H-grade versions of the monolithic flyback regulator, the LT8304/-1, from Linear Technology operates for junction temperatures ranging from -40°C to 150°C. By sampling the isolated output voltage directly from the primary-side flyback waveform, the part requires no opto-coupler or third winding for regulation.

Micro USB connector for high moisture applications

A waterproof micro USB 2.0 connector has been added to CUI’s USB product family. The UJ2W MIBH 4 SMT is a micro B type jack connector with an ingress protection rating of IPX7, offering protection from liquid and moisture in challenging environments.

Rugged VPX processor blade boosts computing power

ADLINK Technology’s VPX3010 series rugged 3U VPX processor blade with 12core Intel Xeon Processor D-1500 SoC has been designed for server-grade computing performance. It comes with a VPX3010 quick start kit and GPGPU companion products, such as an optional discreet VPX GPGPU blade or XMC module with the 384 CUDA core NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M GPU.
