Evaluation board strengthens support for software-defined sensor

Melexis has introduced an evaluation board (EVB) to strengthen the support available for its MLX90393 programmable magnetic sensor IC. The MLX90393 EVB offers engineers a platform for constructing a wide variety of human machine interfaces and has the potential to support more sophisticated designs such as complex 3D sensing systems, such as joysticks or rotary knobs with push functions included.

Low profile Molex ClipLok interconnect clip

Molex Incorporated has introduced the ClipLok interconnect clip, an electromechanical connection that attaches to secure a membrane switch or FPC tail firmly to a printed circuit board, eliminating the need for mating connectors at each point.

Toshiba develops energy saving flip flop circuit

In a bid to reduce power consumption in mobile equipment, Toshiba has launched a new flip flop circuit using 40nm cmos process. According to the company, the device's power dissipation is up to 77% less than that of a typical conventional flip flop. The company also claims it achieves a 24% reduction in total power consumption when applied to a wireless LAN chip.

Kontron has introduced the PICMG 1.3 System Host Board PCI-761, a small industrial server board equipped with the Intel Q57 Express chipset. The cpu board has been designed to deliver state of the art server performance with intelligent security features, inexpensive system administration and leading edge I/O technology.

The new CM-A510 is based on the advanced Marvell Armada 510 SoC and is said to be ideal for industrial and medical products. According to Anders, the module offers low power consumption, powerful processing capability, and a rich set of media, connectivity and storage features.

The LP-171, the latest 100 x 72mm Pico-ITX motherboard from BVM, is said to provide a combination of high performance, low power, 2d, 3d and advanced 3d graphics, high definition video decode and image processing using an integrated Intel GMA 500 graphic system.
