Female power contacts for 2mm pitch connectors

Looking to increase power delivery levels, Harwin has launched a female contact for its Datamate connectors. Using a proprietary six finger design machined from a single piece of beryllium copper, the T-Contact is said to raise the current capacity on 2mm pitch interconnection systems to 8.5A per contact.

IDE for Renesas RX MCUs gets safety update

IAR Systems has announced the latest version of the functional safety edition of Embedded Workbench for Renesas RX family of MCUs. The new version integrates the C-STAT and C-RUN tools, providing static and runtime analysis. In addition, support is now available for the Renesas RXv2 CPU core.

µModule (power module) step-down regulator from Linear

Analog Devices, which recently acquired Linear Technology, has launched the LTM8065, a µModule (power module) step-down regulator with up to 40V input voltage (42V abs max), which can safely operate from unregulated or fluctuating 12V to 36V input supplies in noisy environments such as industrial robotics, test and measurement, medical, factory automation and avionics systems.

Compact TFT display has Rugged+ performance

The 4.2in Rugged+ thin film transistor (TFT) display from LCD manufacturer KOE is said to feature the latest generation of in-plane switching (IPS) technology, wide quarter VGA resolution of 480 x 272 pixels, a 16:9 wide aspect ratio and an extended operating temperature range.

Libero SoC v11.8 software provides debugging capabilities

The latest version of Microsemi’s Libero SoC software – version 11.8, a comprehensive suite of FPGA design tools – has been released. In addition to the software release, which includes enhancements such as mixed language simulation, debugging capabilities and a new netlist viewer, the company is also introducing a free evaluation license enabling users to evaluate the company’s flash-based FPGAs and SoC FPGAs.

Oscilloscope range extended

Teledyne LeCroy has launched the HDO4000A, HDO6000A, HDO8000A, and MDA800A analogue and mixed-signal oscilloscopes, with bandwidths ranging from 200MHz to 1GHz.

Rugged VPX processor blade boosts computing power

ADLINK Technology’s VPX3010 series rugged 3U VPX processor blade with 12core Intel Xeon Processor D-1500 SoC has been designed for server-grade computing performance. It comes with a VPX3010 quick start kit and GPGPU companion products, such as an optional discreet VPX GPGPU blade or XMC module with the 384 CUDA core NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M GPU.

Two VME SBCs to implement latest processor

The XVB603 and XVR19 6U VME single board computers (SBCs) have been announced by Abaco Systems, which are based on the seventh generation Intel technology codenamed ‘Kaby Lake’. The boards are designed to cover the full range of VME processing applications from industrial control through to fully rugged, mission critical defence and aerospace deployments.

Radiation hardened MOSFET family for aerospace applications

The Infineon Technologies company, IR HiRel, has launched its first radiation hardened MOSFETs based on the proprietary N-channel R9 technology platform. Compared to previous technologies it is said to offer size, weight and power improvements. The company claims this is significant in systems such as high-throughput satellites, where the cost-per-bit ratio can be reduced.

Wideband signal analysis solution

The RSA7100A wideband signal analysis solution from Tektronix can store up to two hours of data from an 800MHz bandwidth feed. Covering frequencies ranging from 16kHz to 26.5GHz, the device is said to address a broad range of analysis needs.

Plastic packaged PIN diode control devices

A series of plastic packaged PIN diode control products has been launched by Microsemi. The devices are said to be cost effective and to provide higher RF functionality, enabling defence, aerospace and medical customers to drive down BOM costs with low risk and little sacrifice to performance.

Processor blade for rugged applications

The cPCI-6940 6U CompactPCI processor blade from Adlink Technology is available with up to 16 cores and high performance graphics. Suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -45 to 85°C, the rugged device comes with 16Gbyte of soldered DDR4 memory.

TE Connectivity announces FullAXS Mini connectors

TE Connectivity has announced its FullAXS Mini connector sealing systems for rugged outdoor environments. The connector sealing systems are said to be one of the only products available that enables one-handed, blind installs from many angles. With three sense (visual, audio and tangible) locking feedback, floating connections and a twist angle of 30°, these products claim to be installable by field engineers with all levels of experience in virtually any location.
