Ultra-low power 16-bit flash MCU from Epson

Seiko Epson Corporation (Epson) has announced that it has developed and begun shipping samples of S1C17W18, a 16-bit flash microcontroller (MCU) from its S1C17W00 series. The MCU is said to operate at 1.2V and is capable of driving 352 segment displays while achieving 40% less current consumption in operating mode than previous 16-bit MCUs from the S1C17W00 series.

Additional output voltages extend power module series

TDK has announced an extension to its PH-A280 series of high voltage input DC/DC converters. Capable of operating from 200 to 425Vdc, the 3.3, 15 and 28V output power modules are suitable for use in data centres, telecommunications and renewable energy applications utilising a 380V nominal high voltage DC bus.

Low power high contrast 1.7m dot OLED micro-display

Astute Electronics has announced the availability of MICROOLED’s MDP01, a 1.7million dot full-colour OLED micro-display which is suitable for applications where clear, crisp, sharp image quality is required while minimising cost, power consumption and space.

Miniature OCXO from IQD delivers ±10ppb stability

IQD has released the IQOV-71 series, its latest Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO). The device is housed in 4-pad plastic package with a glass fibre base measuring 9.7 x 7.5mm. The device is said to offer frequency stabilities down to ±10ppb over an operating temperature range of -20 to 70°C or ±20ppb over -40 to 85°C.

KEMET expands polymer capacitance portfolio

KEMET has announced the release of its M55 Module Polymer Hermetic Seal capacitor portfolio. KEMET's M550 and M551 Modular Series are designed for mission critical high capacitance and voltage applications and are manufactured by placing T550 or T551 Polymer Hermetic Seal capacitors in parallel. The M55 Series is suitable for telecom, computer, defence and aerospace applications.

Extension to PCB design tool

Altium has released MCAD Co-Designer: Solidworks, an extension for Altium Designer that provides integrated design data and a managed design revision environment between electrical and mechanical design teams working in Altium Designer and Solidworks respectively.

Time-lag fuse with enhanced overcurrent and surge capability

Littelfuse has introduced the 835 Series Fuse, a time-lag, ceramic body ac fuse. The 835 Series is the first fuse from Littelfuse to combine an unparalleled I2t value, a maximum interrupting rating of 1500A at 250V ac and 1.5kA 8/20µs surge withstand capability in a 5 x 20mm footprint. Current ratings of 5A, 6.3A and 8A are available.
