Riding the Small Cell Wave: TCI6636 overview

TI has unveiled the industry's most comprehensive wireless infrastructure System-on-Chip featuring an ideal mix of processing elements for both ultra-high capacity small cell and macro base stations. With the TCI6636, TI is addressing operators' challenges with an innovative and scalable SoC for ultra-high capacity small cell and green power macro base stations. TI's new SoC enables operators and manufacturers to harness the merits of small cells with ease and efficiency while providing an optimal platform for differentiation through capacity improvements. It is also the first wireless infrastructure device to integrate ARM® Cortex™-A15 cores, providing greater integration and higher performance at less than half the power of existing solutions.
