Industrial Interfaces on Embedded Processors

This video discusses industrial interface solutions for TI embedded processors. Using examples such as EtherCAT and ProfiBus it presents a demonstration system implementing industrial communication from master to slave based on processors, as well as interface and analog components from TI.

OpenLink community collaboratively connects the world

OpenLink community provides open, comprehensive access to Texas Instruments' connectivity technology drivers. As a one-stop-shop for resources, support, product information and more, this community provides a centralised location to make connectivity-related designs more efficient, timely and distinctive.

Metering Solutions for the Smart Grid

For AMR (Automtated Meter Reading) and AMI (Advanced Meter Infrastructure) to become truly pervasive it needs to provide more than a reduction in meter reading costs. Optimisation for Asset tracking, dynamic pricing, tamper notification, outage management, supply automation, load profiling and network diagnostics are critical elements for the success of this infrastructure. The trend towards AMR increases the electronics content of the meter itself, and AMI drives a networked infrastructure for all metering. TI's comprehensive utility metering portfolio includes devices targeted at electricity, water and gas metering, as well as power line communications (PLC) and radio frequency (RF) interfaces for AMI that allow customers to design smart grid solutions. From highly optimized application specific embedded processors, low-power RF, power management and RFID to dedicated software support for ZigBee, WMBUS, OFDM and SFSK modulations, TI offers the most complete solution set for smart metering. This presentation discusses the fundamentals of e-metering and various solutions for both the metrology and communications aspects of e-metering.

Training: Market Drivers and Technology Enablers for Wireless Connectivity in Medical

This session will explore low power wireless technologies including Zigbee, 802.15.4, WLAN, RFID. Also discussed will be the existing and potential spectrums used for the medical space and their applicability for different applications. Learn how these technologies compare by looking at several different attributes such as Data Rate, Range, Power Consumption, Packet Error Rate, Interference Tolerance, Network Topologies, and relative cost. Some various medical examples will be shown where wireless technologies are used.

Freescale - The era of connected intelligence/networking

Today's high speed society expects communications devices to connect quickly and intelligently. The demand for 'wireless everywhere' is accelerating - leading to substantial changes in the infrastructure, including deployment of a range of small cell to large cell base stations.
