  • Speaking of success: Mouser Electronics

Mouser Electronics is one of the fastest growing catalogue and web based distributors in the world, dedicated to customer focused distribution through the rapid introduction of the newest products and leading edge technologies.

Through world class customer service, design engineers and small to medium quantity buyers are offered the ability to purchase the latest products – with no minimum quantity – from more than 390 industry leading manufacturers.

Mouser opened its UK Customer Service Centre in High Wycombe, in January 2009. The UK branch was the latest addition to a growing number of Mouser customer service centres worldwide, including Europe, Asia, and North America. The High Wycombe branch ensures that design engineers and buyers throughout the UK, Ireland and the Nordic countries have easy access to best in class local customer service and technical support.

"Mouser now offers the UK based design engineers an opportunity to have quick and easy access to the newest products for their latest designs," says Mark Burr-Lonnon, Mouser's Vice President Business Development, pictured right. "Our technology driven linecard and portfolio of parts, coupled with our world renowned customer service and speedy delivery, makes Mouser a serious 'local' option." Customers in the UK can easily request quotes, check inventory, follow up on order status or simply place orders in their local currency and take advantage of free shipping on orders valued at more than £50/€75.

With the focus on the rapid introduction of the newest products and technologies, Mouser produces a new UK catalogue every six months and updates its UK website daily. The printed catalogue highlights the newest products from industry leading manufacturers of semiconductors, optoelectronics and embedded modules, as well as passive, interconnect, electromechanical, circuit protection and much more.

Mouser's UK website – uk.mouser.com – features more than 5 million searchable products to locate more than a million part numbers for easy online purchase. In addition, the website contains downloadable data sheets, supplier specific reference designs, application notes, technical design information and engineering tools – as well as the New Enhanced Online catalogue.

Along with the UK website, Mouser hosts 21 European websites, to complement a total of 39 country specific websites worldwide in 11 different languages and more than 22 currencies. Mouser's European websites are a valuable resource for design engineers and small production buyers, allowing for online transactions in local languages and currencies.

As a result of opening local sales offices, distributing new catalogues every six months, and updating its websites daily, Mouser is adding new customers at record pace throughout Europe.

Mouser provides logistical support to customers in the UK with its 132,000m2 state of the art warehouse that ships to more than 170 countries worldwide daily. Orders are shipped the same day and will be delivered to the door within two to three days with reduced shipping rates, or even free shipping on orders of more than £50/€75. Pricing includes all duties, customs and fees and now local VAT where applicable.

Mouser believes in providing the best customer service, regardless of the size of the customer or the size of the order. Mouser accomplishes this through the rapid introduction of the newest products and technologies, easily navigatible website and catalogue, and unsurpassed customer focused service.
