An Englishman's home is no longer just his castle; it is rapidly becoming his worplace too. By Philip Ling.

Getting connected is essential in today's business life, but as business merges with our private lives - through teleworking for instance - the connection now extends all the way home.
The home gateway will represent the link between the home and the office and as such may be alternately revered and despised. While it is still early days for the home gateway, one thing is sure, it will be more than just an internet link for the home; it is expected to bring together a host of services both new and existing.
