Freedom of choice

Diversity breeds flexibility for some development environments.

Any engineer involved with embedded systems will appreciate the amount of diversity involved in software. Although the programming language of choice remains C, the number of processors available and the associated development environments present a number of 'up front' decisions to the embedded engineer.
One company believes it has relieved that decision making process with an integrated development environment which isn't tied to any particluar compiler or architecture, and is even rtos agnostic.
