Today’s engineers have access to far more background information than ever before. The web has prompted a revolution in the way that information is disseminated, meaning designers no longer have to trawl through product books, store weighty reference tomes or wait for literature to arrive by post.
But is the information now available better than before and has the designer’s job been made noticeably easier?
