Intel, Microsoft and NEC have announced a collaboration in a bid to provide an integrated digital signage offering for the global market. The companies say that the platform will address the retail and digital signage market segment's need for a more streamlined, high performance and reliable solution that supports digital content, interactivity, intelligence and lifecycle management.

ARM and Microsoft have signed a new licensing agreement for the ARM architecture. The agreement is said to extend the collaborative relationship between the two companies that has existed since 1997.
"Microsoft is an important member of the ARM ecosystem, and has been for many years," said Mike Muller, pictured, ARM's chief technology officer. "With this architecture license, Microsoft will be at the forefront of applying and working with ARM technology in concert with a broad range of businesses addressing multiple application areas."
