Achronix is planning to develop what it calls the most advanced fpgas using Intel's 22nm process technology. Using this approach, the company says its Speedster22i FPGA family will 'shatter existing limitations', allowing cost effective production of high performance devices with more than 2.5million look up tables, equivalent to an asic with more than 20m gates.
