Toshiba adds 720p and 1080p hd FSI image sensors to cmos portfolio

Toshiba Electronics Europe has added two new devices to its cmos image sensor portfolio, which are designed for camera systems being deployed in phones, tablet and notebook computers.

The T4K08 is a native hd format sensor with a resolution of 720p that combines 1.75µm front side illumination (FSI) pixel technology with SoC image signal processing. The T4K24 also leverages 1.75µm FSI pixel technology and provides a resolution of 1080p.

The T4K08 supports video at 30fps and an optical format of 1/7in. The T4K24 supports fhd and hd video at 30fps and an optical format of 1/4.4.
