Secure embedded platform for COM Express modules

  • Secure embedded platform for COM Express modules

MSC Vertriebs’ secure embedded platform is based on a MSC CX-MB-SP1 baseboard and designed for applications in gaming, self service and infotainment terminal industries.

Because of the modularity of the baseboard and a selection of COM from MSC, designers can build complete embedded systems with flexibility.
The secure embedded platform incorporates special security features for protection against unauthorised access and external manipulation. In addition to an integrated trusted platform module (TPM), other features include a battery backed security controller and a smart card, which can contain additional customer specific security functions.
The baseboard is designed for acceptance of COM Express modules in extended, basic or compact form factor and standardised PCIe extension cards.
The MSC CX-MB-SP1 secure embedded baseboard enables graphics performance enhancement via PCI Express x16 slot that can accept standard PCI Express graphics (PEG) cards based on embedded ATI/AMD or NVIDIA graphics processors. The standard PEG modules offer a combination of independent dual DVI and/or VGA interfaces and a range of graphics performances. The same slot can be used to plug ADD2 card that connects the SDVO signals from the internal graphics controller of the GMCH and provides dual independent DVI outputs.
