Multipoint LVDS transceivers deliver ‘industry’s highest’ ESD protection
Analog Devices has launched a series of multipoint, low voltage, differential signalling (M-LVDS) transceivers, which it claims delivers the industry's highest electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection for high speed, multi node applications.
The ADN469xE M-LVDS series includes eight transceivers, each capable of connecting 32 data/clock nodes using a single differential cable pair at data rates of 100 or 200Mbp/s.
The series delivers 8kV IEC ESD protection, offering up to 11x the protection of regular M-LVDS transceivers. The company says this improves the reliability of insertable/removable boards and cards used in wireless base station and networking infrastructure, data acquisition, automated test equipment and other high speed, highly networked backplane and cable applications.
The transceivers are available in half and full duplex versions that are fully compliant with the TIA/EIA-899 M-LVDS standard and operate at a temperature range of –40 to 85°C.
