Motherboard supports Intel i7/i5/i3 64bit multicore processors

  • Motherboard supports Intel i7/i5/i3 64bit multicore processors

BVM's LV-67C mini-ITX motherboard is based on the Intel Q57 and supports versions of the Intel i7 high end, the i5 mainstream and the i3 entry level 64bit processors in the LGA 1156 socket.

The 32nm versions of the i5 and i3 have HD graphics capability with VGA and DVI output interface, the 45nm i7 and i5 versions do not. Up to 8GB of 1333 ddr3 memory is supported. Intel Turbo Boost technology and Hyper Threading technology is said to maximise performance to the workload; BVM describes the unit as the 'ideal platform' for high performance systems in industrial control, automation, retail, gaming, print imaging and digital signage applications.

The LV-67C is well provided with i/o, it has 3 x RS232C, 1 x RS232/422/485, 2 x Giga LAN and 8 x USB2.0 ports.

The Q57 chipset with a Realtek ALC888 Codec supports High Definition Audio, providing high performance 7.1+2 Channel High Definition Audio.

It provides 10 DAC channels that simultaneously support 7.1 surround sound playback and two independent channels of stereo sound output through the front panel audio-out jack.

The 4 x eSATA interfaces support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, giving maximum storage performance for data-intensive applications. Extended interface capability includes PCIE x 16, 1 x Mini-PCIe and 1 x Mini-PCI sockets for add-on cards. A programmable 8bit GPIO interface and a 256level watchdog timer are also provided.
