LSW gravity referenced servo inclinometers
Sherborne Sensors has unveiled a range of rugged, high precision inclinometers designed for use in all weather applications.
The LSW series is available in angular ranges of +/-3 to +/-90° and operates in temperatures ranging from -18 to 70°C. According to Sherborne it is able to survive shock levels up to 1500g.
The sensor system is protected in a stainless steel case, weatherproof to IP67 and resistant to immersion in water. Also featured is a field replaceable weatherproof moulded IP68 connector/cable system, which enables the LSW to connect to a dc power source and a readout for a complete operating system.
"The LSW series is specifically designed for application in physically challenging outdoor environments or where high levels of shock and vibration are present," said Mike Baker, managing director, Sherborne Sensors. "The sensor demonstrates extremely high levels of precision and is typically deployed in offshore industries, military, civil engineering, geophysical and seismic studies; together with bore hole mapping and the monitoring of dam or rock shifts."
