Murata has unveiled a new range of microwave monolithic integrated devices for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth applications.

The modules integrate the company's power amplifier, low noise amplifier and switching product into single packages for both the 2.45 and 5GHz bands. According to Murata they can be combined with a highly integrated, single chip radio to provide a connectivity solution for mobile phones, portable devices and tablet computers.

The integrated devices are designed to support 802.11b/g, Bluetooth and/or 802.11a. Designers can also use one or both front end modules to mix and match wireless networks with minimal design resources, which is said to reduce the complexity of design and improve time to market.
