Enabling smaller, lighter products

  • Enabling smaller, lighter products

Audiophile quality performance, power efficiency, click and pop suppression and undervoltage and short circuit protection are some of the features claimed by Intersil for the ISL99201 and ISL99202, the first in a family of small footprint audio devices that will enable smaller, thinner and lighter consumer products.

The ISL99201 comes in a nine bump 0.4mm pitch WCSP. Filterless and fully integrated, the high efficiency mono amplifier can deliver up to 2.5W into a 4? load. A low noise modulation scheme operates with 86% efficiency at 400mW into 8? with an SNR said to be better than 95dB.
Available in a 12 bump 0.4mm pitch WCSP, the ISL99202 is a stereo capfree headphone amplifier supporting 16 to 600? impedances. An operating voltage range from 2.4 to 5.5V makes the device suitable for use in applications that use 2 AA or single cell Li-Ion batteries, as well as in notebook computers.
