Embedded World: Mitsubishi Electric unveils colour tft lcd modules

Mitsubishi Electric has announced new 8.4in SVGA (AA084SC01), 10.4in SVGA (AA104SJ02) and 12.1in SVGA (AA121ST01) colour tft lcd modules with LVDS interface for industrial use.

According to the company, the new modules feature super wide viewing technology as well as a top level wide operating temperature of -30 to 80°C and a long life led backlight making them suitable for use in rugged outdoor environments.

The new industrial modules were presented at Embedded World 2012 Nuremberg.

The new modules feature viewing technology of 170° horizontal and vertical which is designed to ensure excellent visibility from all directions. They have a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 600cd/m2 for viewing in bright environments, as well as a colour gamut of 72% on NTSC standards.

Mitsubishi says the tft modules have market leading long life led backlight performance and are equipped with a circuit board embedded led driver. At 25°C, led backlights have an operating life time of at least 100,000 hours (until half brightness).

According to Mitsubishi. the tft lcd modules meet the increasing market demands for high brightness, high contrast, wide ranging operational temperatures and wide viewing angles for diverse applications and installations. The introduction of the three new modules increases Mitsubishi Electric's lineup of super wide viewing angle models to nine items.

The new modules are RoHS conform.
