Six output dc/dc µModule regulator

  • dc/dc regulator

Linear Technology has introduced the LTM8008, a six output dc/dc µModule regulator with operation from -40 to 150°C. The technology includes a 3 to 72V input SEPIC converter and six linear regulators, housed in a 15 x 15 x 2.82mm LGA package. The multiple output regulator is said to be suitable for dense point of load voltage regulation, in markets such as automotive, defence and avionics.

The LTM8008 regulates a 5.6V output with an onboard SEPIC converter with buck and boost conversion capability. This 5.6V, in return, powers six linear regulators to generate five 5V rails and one 3.3V rail with output currents ranging from 150 to 500mA.
