Board mounted AC/DC power supply offers low profile

  • Board mounted AC/DC power supply offers low profile

XP Power has launched its ECP20 series of compact, low profile 20W AC/DC power supplies, suitable for low power pcb mounted applications.

Measuring 67 x 40 x 18.6mm and delivering a power density of 6.6W per cubic inch, the units are suitable for designs where space is at a premium.
The series comprises a total of 11 models; 8 single output and 3 dual output versions. Single output units cover the nominal voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 24, 30 or 48VDC. Dual output models provide +/- 12, +/- 15 or +/- 24VDC. With a low no load power consumption of < 0.3 Watt, the ECP20 meets the requirements of low standby power consumption applications and several energy saving initiatives such as Energy Star and EISA.
The units are also suitable for applications requiring a short duration of higher output power. All models have a peak load capability that can provide 130% of rated output power for a maximum of 30 seconds.
The ECP20 series can operate across a wide range of temperatures, from 0 to 50ºC without derating and up to 70ºC with derating. No additional heat sinking or forced air flow is required for the power supplies to deliver its full power capability.
