AdvancedTCA system delivers 40Gbit/s data transfer
Electronics packaging specialist Schroff has unveiled a 6 slot AdvancedTCA system that incorporates a triple replicated mesh backplane with a data transfer rate of 40Gbit/s.
Designed for use in the telecoms sector, the system is suitable for applications such as video on demand, webinars and video conferencing.
Compliant with AdvancedTCA specification PICMG 3.0 Rev. 3.0, the 5U-high system offers space at the front for six 8U-high horizontally mounted AdvancedTCA blades and can also accommodate six rear transition modules. The backplane has two hub slots, four node slots and a bussed intelligent platform management interface.
The company says that high system availability is ensured by redundancy in the power and cooling systems, with two power entry modules delivering the necessary supply voltage of -48VDC/-60VDC and two hot swappable fan trays providing a cooling capacity of over 350W per front board.
