Zuken enhances design software for fpga collaboration

Zuken has unveiled the latest version of CR-5000, its pcb and ic package design software. The company says that version 14 features significant productivity enhancements which will enable greater collaboration in fpga development and high speed design.

Enhancements have also been included in CR-5000 Lightning, Zuken's verification tool which is optimised for signal integrity, EMC and power integrity analysis and to locate issues early in the design process.

According to Anders Karlsson, pcb design manager at electronics manufacturing services company Enics: "One customer was impressed when we used CR-5000 Lightning to pick up an EMI problem prior to the board going to the testing chamber. It was able to pinpoint where the potential emission problems were straight away and reduce design iterations. CR-5000 Lightning has given us a real competitive edge."
