Singapore exports reveal surge in global demand for electronics
Singapore's year on year electronics shipments rose 25.2% in December – reversing the 6.1% discount in November.
According to The Trade and Industry Ministry, total exports excluding oil, rose to $9.5billion, with electronics accounting for 40% of this figure.
The rise comes after a 34 month slump and indicates a sharp increase in the global demand for electronics.
