RS adds embedded computing

  • RS adds embedded computing

RS Components has added an embedded computing section to its Technology Solutions portfolio. This move, says the company, makes it the first high service level distributor to offer these products for sale in single or small quantities with free next day delivery.


The launch features more than 70 products from Advantech and Kontron, including single board computers, cpu cards, system on modules, flat panel pcs, industrial motherboards and graphic controllers.
“The partnership with RS Components is an important milestone because it is our first with a catalogue distributor,” said Josef Behammer, sales and marketing director of embedded pcs with Kontron Embedded Modules. “Our sales partner strategy needed someone to strengthen existing potential and attract new customers, especially those needing fast delivery of small volumes. RS Components is a perfect fit with our existing network; we are now able to address a customer base that we never touched and served before.”
