Nu Horizons adds Windows Embedded to portfolio

  • real time operating systems

Nu Horizons has been appointed as a Windows Embedded authorised distributor, making it only the eighth such company in Europe.

Gerry Hewitt, marketing director EMEA, said: "This is an exciting development which will give the company access to new markets and allow us to expand our customer base because Windows Embedded is a very strong brand."
According to Hewitt, the move will, in time, result in Nu Horizons creating an embedded division. "For the moment," he noted, "we will be blending Windows Embedded business into the existing operations. But our first task will be to appoint a business development manager to handle the new portfolio." He added that existing staff are being trained in the new products. "We'll be addressing our existing customer base and working closely with the Microsoft ecosystem."
