New handheld goes live

New handheld Tektronix realtime spectrum analysers show ‘live RF’.

Said to offer benchtop performance on a portable handheld platform, specifically to solve problems created by digital rf technologies, Tektronix has announced the availability of the new SA2600 handheld real time spectrum analyser with DPX waveform image processor technology to provide a ‘live RF’ view of the spectrum.
The launch is designed to meet the rapid expansion of digital rf applications, which Tektronix say are driving the measurement needs of many applications including - mobile communications and spectrum management - beyond the capabilities of swept spectrum and vector signal analysis.
“Tektronix is expanding its family of handheld products to allow customers to buy portable products with near benchtop-like capabilities,” stated market development manager, Winfried Schultz.
DPX is also available on Tektronix’ H600 ‘RF Hawk’ handheld unit originally introduced in February.
