Mouser has online resource for power supply solutions

Mouser has launched a new site dedicated to providing design engineers with technical information about power supply solutions.

The website addresses design-from-scratch or readymade solutions and features the latest power devices from companies such as Texas Instruments, TDK-Lambda, GE Energy, Microchip Technology, Murata Power Solutions and STMicroelectronics. It also covers the four most often used topologies.

Engineers can explore UPS and ac/dc power applications through block diagram navigation. The site also provides extra resources to help stimulate design development, such as in-depth industry articles, whitepapers and technical resources that can be reviewed by topic or supplier.

Kevin Hess, Mouser's vp of technical marketing, commented: "Every product on the design table needs some sort of power solution to make it work. The 'make vs. buy' decision for power supplies is critical in determining overall system cost and performance. The general purpose of our power supply site is to educate, help narrow the list of products, and find the right products for design projects. The overriding objective is to transform knowledge into design know how – all with the simple click of a mouse."
