The Microchip Technology MCP9804 low-power temperature sensor provides high temperature accuracy of +0.25º C (typical) and ± 1° C from -40 to +125º C.

The Microchip Technology MCP9804 temperature sensor features static current consumption of just 200 µA (typical), programmable shutdown to extend battery life, an alert feature for over- and under-temperature window monitoring, and a critical temperature alert feature that provides over-temperature protection.

Typical applications for the Microchip MCP9804 include industrial freezers and refrigerators, food processing devices, personal computers and servers, PC peripherals, consumer electronics, and handheld/portable devices.
