Memory devices move offshore
In a bid to cut costs and increase output, NAND flash memory manufacturer Toshiba, has announced plans to produce solid state drives offshore.
The move to the Philippines is a result of Toshiba’s belief that strong growth for NAND based SSD memory devices is on the cards.
Toshiba hopes to boost SSD output 15 fold over the next two years and aims to take 30% of the world market for the devices by the end of March 11.
