Kontron Mini-ITX motherboard features AMD R-Series apu

Targeting rich media embedded applications, Kontron has announced a new Mini-ITX motherboard based on the AMD embedded R-Series apu and A70M controller hub.

The KTA70M/mITX features integrated AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series graphics and is capable of driving up to four displays simultaneously.

The motherboard maintains a thermal design power of 25W, making it suitable for thermal and energy strained medical applications. It can also enable digital signage applications by supporting large displays with resolutions up to 4096 x 2160pixels.

The device integrates a secure asset management unit, which enables hardware assisted encryption and decryption of content, enabling less cpu overhead and lower power when dealing with protected content.
