Dreamliner deal for Welwyn Components

Bedlington based electronic components manufacturer TT electronics Welwyn Components has landed a contract worth in excess of £10million over the next 15 years to supply microcircuits and custom resistor products for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.


Each Dreamliner is said to feature 420 TT Welwyn microcircuits and custom resistors. Each Welwyn component has been designed specifically for its application, including the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engine management system, wing ice protection system and aircraft braking system.
