Custom module design simplified

  • Custom module design simplified

A new version of a module development kit has been launched which enables users to design custom solutions for industrial and embedded applications.

National Instruments' NI cRIO-9951 module development kit (mdk) has been designed to simplify the process of designing custom C series modules for NI CompactRIO and add-on boards for NI Single-Board RIO.
It also works with NI LabVIEW 8.6 and includes updated electrical design requirements documentation.
Wolfram Koerver, program manager for CompactRIO modules at SEA Datentechnik, said: "The CompactRIO mdk allows us to create complementary modules to serve our customers and build our business. It improves this process and enables us to implement our technology ideas even faster in new products and custom specific solutions."
CompactRIO and NI Single-Board RIO devices are part of NI's fpga based deployment platform and feature architecture composed of a real time processor, an fpga and integrated I/O connectivity. As NI RIO technology platforms can be programmed with LabVIEW, no recoding is needed when transitioning from CompactRIO prototypes to volume deployment.
