Cadence opens OrCAD Capture marketplace to all users

Cadence Design Systems has made its Cadence OrCAD Capture Marketplace available to the pcb design community through a standard desktop browser. It has also added several new apps and introduced a trial period for paid apps.

OrCAD Capture Marketplace extends a pcb designer's environment through an online apps store, as well as access to symbols, footprints, simulation models and pcb design related multimedia, such as application notes, movies and whitepapers.
"The overwhelming response from OrCAD users [is that] there is a pervasive, industry wide need for on demand content to enhance and extend the pcb design environment," said Josh Moore, director of product marketing for OrCAD, System and Software Realization Group, Cadence. "Until now, access to OrCAD Capture Marketplace has only been available to OrCAD Capture users on the latest release. The expansion to desktop browsers will extend access to all OrCAD and Allegro users."
Users will now be able to view and download content through any web enabled device, giving engineering teams easy access to OrCAD Capture Marketplace content and information.
