Agilent boosts low end scope performance
Agilent Technologies has expanded its digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) portfolio with the 1000 Series. The six models in the family offer bandwidths ranging from 60MHz and 200MHz and are said to include features normally found on more expensive scopes.
"Agilent has been the fastest growing scope vendor since 1997," said Scott Sampl, general manager of Agilent's oscilloscopes business. "We've been making systematic investments to deliver value to our customers – regardless of their budgets. The new 1000 Series oscilloscopes offer many of the capabilities we include in our higher performance scopes at affordable prices."
The scopes are available in two or four channel formats and each comes in a 12.5cm deep housing and weighs less than 3kg.
All models have a bright lcd and up to 20kpoints of memory per channel. All members of the 1000 Series can display 23 automatic measurements – up to 21 simultaneously and boast a sequence mode to help find elusive problems. Up to 1000 occurrences of a trigger can be stored and played for identification of glitches and other anomalies. Also featured is a go/no go mask testing capability.
