Acquisition strengthens UK connector support team

  • Connectors

TTI has signed a deal to acquire the assets of Flightspares Electronics, a UK based specialist connector distributor.

Flightspares has strong links in industrial, rail, transportation, marine and defence sectors and its main franchise has always been Tyco Electronics – a franchise also held by TTI. According to TTI's senior vice president and general manager, Glyn Dennehy (pictured), the acquisition will allow TTI to expand and develop its activities.

Dennehy said: "This deal is in line with our desire to expand our connector sales. We have been active in the connector market for over 15 years in Europe and this acquisition fits our company strategy perfectly, strengthening our good relationship with the market leader in connector products and enhancing our capability and competence to the benefit of our key connector suppliers and customers."
