8bit mcu has 128KB Flash memory in 28pin package

  • microcontroller

Microchip Technology has unveiled what it claims to be the industry's first 8bit microcontroller to feature 128KB Flash program memory in a 28pin package.

The PIC18F47J13 mcu features XLP technology for low power consumption and mTouch capability for implementing capacitive touch sensing user interfaces.

According to Microchip, an on-chip 12bit analogue to digital converter delivers the accuracy required for many advanced sensor, instrumentation and measurement applications. The device features sleep currents down to 9nA and is also available in a 44pin package.

Applications include security systems, irrigation systems, remote controls, video game controllers, wireless sensor networks and portable medical devices.
