  • 3D gesture controlled interface announced

A new hand gesture user interface concept which enables the use of intuitive 3d hand gestures has been unveiled.

Employing a technology called GestIC, The 'Gesture Cube' has been developed by Ident Technology together with its partners, Lunar Europe and zinosign.
Gestures, such as the wave of a hand, enable users to access a range of functions and with no need to touch the surface.

Gesture Cube uses Ident's 3d spatial hand movement tracking technology with an underlying GestIC electric field sensing technology detecting the user's hand movements.

According to Ident, the GestIC technology also enables touch free 3d gesture control on a variety of 2d screens from mobile phones and tablet pcs, to picture frames and mp3 players.
