Winning display technologies for the new decade

  • Winning display technologies for the new decade

Hosted by Photonics & Plastic Electronics KTN, the event takes place on February 25th 2010. Registration is from 09:00.

Summary:
This conference will focus on key display technologies that are set to revolutionise products and services in the coming decade. The technologies bring performance characteristics that will enable new types of products to be developed. The conference will focus on the following three technologies:
• BISTABLE – Consume zero power when the image is static with excellent sunlight readability making them ideal for e-books and other emerging applications.
• OLED – Amazing image quality, weight, thickness and low power for high performance multimedia products. OLED is set to replace existing technologies in several display and lighting applications.
• 3D – 3D technology is expected to take off in applications from TV to industrial and medical markets.
The KTN is pleased to have a number of technology leaders at this conference including:
• PVI: The world's largest manufacturer of e paper display products, now the owner of E-Ink the leading electronic paper display materials and IP company.
