Digital London Summit and Showcase

  • Digital London Summit and Showcase

Taking place on13 and 14 March 2012 at the International Convention Centre, Excel London.

We can expect to hear a lot about 'The Internet of Things' in coming months - connecting objects rather people over the internet. Some estimate that there will be 50 billion 'things' online by 2020, with other estimates reaching into the trillions. This technology will enable the Smart World - Smart Cities, Smart Grids, Smart Buildings and smart Infrastructure.

Digital London will bring together industry leaders to discuss related issues. It will include sessions on the importance of supporting and investing in Smart Infrastructure with presentations from industry experts such as Bill Murphy, MD Next Generation Access at BT and Simon Giles, Director Intelligent Cities Strategy at Accenture. There will also be information on the development of new city frameworks and the ways in which technology will start to shape and influence infrastructure rather than conforming to it.

A joined up summit and showcase of enabling technologies to inspire digitally connected enterprises and smart cities. The event will explore the future of the web and the digital ecosystem, show how to connect technology with content and innovation and showcase digital connectivity, services and solutions.
