Compliance with RoHS and REACH

Edif ERA’s foundation training course teaches delegates how to comply with RoHS and REACH, and reflects upon future developments in legislation.

Taking place at Leatherhead the 1st June, the course covers key compliance and technical issues critical to ensure smooth business operation from the legal obligations of both pieces of legislation to future developments which could affect conformity.

The RoHS Directive and the REACH Regulation cover diverse requirements from substance restrictions to CE marking, provision of information to customers and safe use of chemicals.

The most essential requirement for manufacturers and importers of goods is gaining and verifying the data from the supply chain as well as handling issues with the same substance and managing obsolescence.

Course trainers include Dr Chris Robertson, who is regulatory compliance sector head at Edif ERA, and Dr Paul Goodman, senior materials consultant.

Dr Robertson has been involved in the review of the inclusion of monitoring and control instruments and medical devices in the scope of the RoHS Directive recast. His team have undertaken numerous projects for industry, the European Commission and the UK government concerning environmental regulatory compliance.
