Design and manufacturing services provider Jaltek Group is to acquire Wavesight, which designs, manufactures and supplies ruggedised, wireless transmission solutions for transportation, surveillance and enterprise.
According to Jaltek, the acquisition means it can expand its service offering to include rf design, test and build. Wavesight will continue to trade under its own name and maintain its management and team structure.
Wavesight’s technology serves a range of intelligent application needs – from ‘last mile’ access to video surveillance to mobile access. It is also a prime supplier to the UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency, with IP surveillance associated systems accounting for nearly 50% of its 2006 revenue.
