Azzurri to buy GD Technik

Azzurri Technology has announced its intention to purchase specialist semiconductor distributor GD Technik.
Mike Carlucci, Azzurri’s president and ceo, said: “Azzurri has been looking to strengthen its position in the UK market for sometime. Finding the right company has not been easy. GD Technik is a very well respected design-in distributor and we are delighted it will be joining the Azzurri Group.”
According to Carlucci, GD has a similar market strategy to that of Azzurri. “The GD team is of a very high calibre and will fit in very well with our UK organisation. The suppliers that GD represents, market sectors covered and customer base addressed are complementary to that of our UK operation. It can be described as a perfect match.”
Lisalynn Carter, managing director and owner of GD Technik, noted: “I believe a merger with Azzurri will be very positive for our employees, customers and suppliers. The union of our organisations will make us much stronger in the UK market. We wanted to merge with a company that understands the true value of GD Technik as a technical distributor – Azzurri certainly fits that bill”.
