Digi-Key adds design support 14/08/2006

Digi-Key has signed a global distribution agreement with Future Designs, a design consultant for a range of products from Philips Semiconductors. The company supplies in circuit USB programmers for the Philips’ P98LPC900, LPC2000 and P89C51 families of flash microcontrollers, as well as lcd demo kits, protocol converters, i2c software and development boards.
“We are excited to add Future Designs to our line card,” said Mark Larson, Digi-Key’s president. “This agreement will afford us the opportunity to provide Digi-Key’s customers with low cost, easy to use programming systems for Philips microcontrollers.”
“Having our products available through Digi-Key greatly expands our presence with the worldwide engineering community,” said Kent Lowman, Future Designs’ director. “Digi-Key’s catalogue and web site are critical elements on every design engineer’s desk and this agreement should help extend our offering of development tools to support additional Philips products.”
