Dialog Semiconductor has purchased power management technology through an asset transaction from Diodes Zetex. As part of the deal, whose terms are undisclosed, Dialog also acquired specific Diodes IP rights and an employee team located in Munich.
"Dialog continues to execute on its strategy of strengthening technology leadership in integrated power management with the acquisition of complementary technology from Diodes," said Dialog ceo Dr Jalal Bagherli, pictured.
"We are excited about the prospects of creating new products that will provide our customers with not only higher levels of integration but also unique features for user interface and control over battery energy use within smartphones, netbooks and other portable media devices," concluded Dr Bagherli.
