Moonwalk in London - blame it on technology
26/06/2009 Email to a friend

The power of hi tech communication took an unusual twist today as my friend Rob managed to inadvertently create an event from a hoax.

Rob Manuel, creator of cult website B3ta, posted a message on Facebook two hours ago, asking: "If I claimed there was a mass moonwalk being organised for 6pm at Liverpool Street Station would anyone believe me?"

It seems that they would.

Since then, the rumour circulated around Twitter and other social networking sites and, within the hour, a dedicated website had even been created. Masses of people are now signing up to attend this 'non event', so remember – you read it here first....
