Cobham Technical Services' annual conference will bring together experts to speak about meeting the technical and regulatory challenges that will arise in the upcoming future, concerning REACH, RoHS, EuP, WEEE and the Batteries legislation.

Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the Environment 2009Taking place at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel, Heathrow, UK on 17th & 18th of November 2009, the main aim of this conference is for delegates to converse and learn about other case studies, and to develop their understanding of the very latest developments, interpretations, technical consequences and responses to the key environmental directives and regulations.

The conference will cover the following subjects:
o Legislation update on REACH, EuP, RoHS, WEEE and Batteries directives and their equivalents in major world markets
o Conflicts between directives and their legal interpretation
o Environmental compliance - how to achieve it for electrical/electronic products the challenges in meeting worldwide regulations
o EuP review of LOT studies, discussion of standby power - how it will affect industry from the product and plant perspective
o Eco-design, what it is and how to do it
o What will be the effect of chemical restrictions as a result of REACH and RoHS
o Standards update.
